Navigating the business world often presents a significant crossroad: should you work in the business or on the business?
On one hand, working in the business typically means dealing with day-to-day operations, customer service, and the nitty-gritty details that keep the wheels turning. It's hands-on, it can be gratifying, but it can also be time consuming. Perhaps it saves on cost, but there is always an opportunity cost!
On the flip side, working on the business involves strategic planning, looking at the big picture, and setting the stage for growth and innovation. It requires a step back from daily tasks to focus on long-term goals, development, and sustainability.
Like most things, the key to success lies in finding the right balance - depending on what stage you are at in the journey.
I'm curious to hear from business owner-operators! What strategies have you used to effectively toggle between these two roles in your business? What tips can you share?
